Bayeux Tapestry
Reblogged from will wander...:
Next we went to see the Bayeux tapestry, which was by far one of my favorite things ever. The size of this thing is incredible - entering the room you think, "My goodness..." and then you realize its about double the length you initially thought. Mind you, it's not a real tapestry - it's actually just embroidered cloth. But it's over 70 meters of beautifully embroidered cloth depicting William's conquest of England!
