Morton Feldman's "Crippled Symmetry"

As reported by All Music, “Turkish carpets” prompted Feldman to create this work.  Listening to this work, I do not think of carpets.  For me, I felt as if the instruments were talking to each other.  My mind did not stop there, for I visualized a night full of stars and planets as I listened.  Just this sense of calm.  However,  if you wanted something energetic, you will not find it here.  About forty-eight minutes in, I started to find it tedious.  Seriously, after the emotional high Rothko Chapel gave me, this left me cold and disappointed.  I wanted to say to Feldman, “Do something else! Please!”
