Yoko, John, and Frank at the Fillmore Part 3
The last section. Does not show Yoko at her best, but still an entertaining show to watch.
Though, I do not know the story behind the bag, but it did made me think, “Oh! Yoko’s doing a tribute to I Like America and America Likes Me,“
Yoko, John, and Frank at the Fillmore Part 2
Honestly, if I planned to introduce someone to Yoko’s unusual vocal stylings, I would not use this as a starting point.
Yoko, John, and Frank at the Fillmore part 1
Well, at least the guitar playing’s good. Besides, seeing two powerhouses such as John Lennon and Frank Zappa together and jamming leaves me in a sublime mood.
Will You Touch Your Angel?
Another playful and jaunty big band style song. Yoko sounds so plaintive when she sings this song, and the saxophone just enhances this.
I feel like I’m listening to a song from the fifties. Similar to the first song, very playful.
O’Oh in a Clear Glass Window
Yoko’s whispery vocals and deep bass make for a cool, contemplative, and even playful atmosphere.
I Felt Like Smashing My Face in a Clear Glass Window
I absolutely love this title. It feels very Frank Zappa. Not to mention the music creates this happy contrast to the depressing lyrics. The music itself has this bouncy fifties feel to it as well.
Yoko in Paradise
Oooh, I could bellydance to this song. I love the beat and violin in the background. Not to mention Yoko’s defiant vocals.
Lyrics feel a little cheesy, but I love the background music with its fast drums and big band feel (thanks to the saxophone).
The long songs of Yoko
Songs to listen to while you read and other activities.
A long, meandering that tells a story at the beginning but then it peters out with quotes and vocalizations. The link provides insight behind it, but the last part still feels meandering to me.
A nice meditative song, what with the quiet acoustic guitar, the soft drums, and Yoko’s vocalizations.
Another long song consisting mostly of Yoko making vomitting sounds.

Oh wow, everything works here. The thumping beat, the ethereal whistling, and the quirky gospel choir style singing. So pretty and so uplifting.
Something very childlike about Yoko’s voice in this song. On the other hand, one can hear her trying not to hit a bad note here.
Yoko delights with a piano

A cute little track that has a pretty tinkling piano with Yoko chanting in response.
With Cat Power. Another piano heavy song that wraps itself in sweetness. I felt incredible warmth from her heartfelt lyrics. Did not care much for her talking near the end
